Statement
My work is non-objective and non-figurative abstraction. I deal primarily with the relationship of light and atmosphere. What is crucial to me is the incompatibility of opposites that takes place while painting. Unforeseen images develop and disappear on canvas - figures, landscapes, interiors, nudes, exteriors, etc. While this visionary activity is taking place I find, after a certain working time, what has been visible suddenly becomes invisible - at which point I stop. What remains is for the viewer to recapture the visible.
